Build with Us! Tile Fund-raiser!
NW Shibas4Life Rescue is building a beautiful home to provide Shibas at risk of being euthanized due to senior age and/or medical conditions a safe and nurturing environment, full of love and attention. We want to share this special moment with you no matter where you live! You can help us build the outside wall and buy a ceramic tile that will be placed in front of one of our rooms and treasured forever!
The tiles are by level of Silver or Gold donations and will read a special message from you and/or your furry best friend. Some tiles may be in loving memory while others may be expressions of love for people and/or animals!
Tiles can read any name or anything you would like our Shibas to remember you by.
We will make sure we share the placement of your tile through pictures and/or a personal tour when you visit. Your gift will show our Shibas how much you love them and together we will build a dream come true!

UPDATE: 10/30/2011
We raised $305 at our Howloween Yappy Hour! Even with light showers we had 11 Shibas and lots of great food! Thank you Jan from Pawsitively Catered for your food and cookie donations! Thanks for your support and we plan to host a November event!
UPDATE: 9/23/2011
September was a rough month for fosters. We had one luxating patella surgery and one lots of Lab work for IBD that resulted in reducing our fund to $7,200. Our critical care needs for Shibas always come first and we will continue to fund raise!
UPDATE: 8/19/2011
After a successful Annual NW Shiba Picnic we have raised $9,400 to date! The engineering plans are completed and approved! The building permits are approved! Site preparation is being planned and scheduled over the next two weeks! We will now be able to house 4 Shibas at a time with 2 foster spots!
UPDATE: 7/5/2011
We have raised $7,400 to date! Thank you for participating in our Paw's Day Meet Up in June! The engineering plans will be completed and approved for building permits by mid August!
UPDATE: 5/15/2011
We have raised $6,600 to date! Thank you to all of the generous families for participating in fund raising and supporting us! We raised $500 at our Mother's Day event and we hope to raise that again at our next event!
Join us on Saturday, June 11th for our Paw's Day event with a Barbecue, play time in our two acre dog park, and lots of fun!
Once we reach $8,000 we will begin our project! Our building will also help other Shibas in other states who are lacking rescue or have reached full capacity. Most Shibas are too dominant or dog aggressive and need their own space. This building will have real rooms and give each dog their own space at night until their happy ending! Rescues don't fail because they don't want to help, rescues fail because they don't have enough resources with volunteers or space! Help us help our Shibas and join our team!
UPDATE: 4/18/2011
We only need $2k more and then we can begin construction! We promised we would at the half way point and as of today we have raised $6,000 due to the generosity of many Shibas and their families. I know it's a lot to ask but every amount helps! Our building will house an average 3-4 Shibas at a time. That’s four Shibas who may not have another option and/or need critical care. Our last three Shibas were denied a second chance in Oregon and Washington. We gave them the second chance and they will have their happy endings soon. We are fund raising and will continue to do so. We have a Shiba Play Date scheduled in May, June, and July. We have our annual picnic in August 6th and this year is a pasta feed with vendors invited. We plan to have a Shiba rescue parade and many other surprises! We hope you can plan to be there! Please donate today...pretty please with Shiba licks and cute little tail wags and helps us get started on our new adventure!
